Reading a Math Homework Page

How to read the top of a homework page to know which lesson it is in Eureka Math to access the relevant resources.

Look at the top right corner of a homework sheet. For example:

Lesson 3 Homework 4 • 7 = Lesson 3 for Grade 4 within Module 7

  • Lesson - This is how to determine the lesson and homework of the day.

  • Grade - The number before the round bullet is the grade. There is a curriculum for each grade.

  • Module - The number after the round bullet is the module. The curriculum for each grade for the whole school year is divided into 6 to 8 Modules. A curriculum module is a group of lessons on a key math concept or skill.

  • Contents of Lessons - Each module has 2 to 5 topics divided into daily lessons. See the bottom of homework page for details on the topic of that lesson.

  • Homework Pages and Problem Set Pages - For each Lesson in the math book, there are Problem Set pages (in class work), and Homework pages. Mostly Homework pages are sent home, but sometimes also Problem Set pages. This becomes relevant when looking up answer keys, as most of the online pages refer to Homework pages.
